Structural Analysis

CE 2343: Structural Analysis is a sophomore level course focused on analysis of simple structures problems using classical methods. Students make use of in-class physical models and structural analysis software to augment traditional learning.

Bridge Engineering

CE 5318: Bridge Engineering is a graduate class that takes a holistic approach to Bridges inclusive of design, analysis, modeling, inspection, and management. The course includes lots of hands-on experiences including a simulated bridge inspection experience.

Advanced Design of Structural Systems

CE 5304: Advanced Design of Structural Systems is a graduate class that focuses primarily on building design. The students complete a building design project throughout the course, but kick off the course by trying to reverse engineer a design of a simple object, like a binder clip.

Advanced Structural Analysis

CE5305: Advanced Structural Analysis is a graduate course that builds off of CE 2343 but focuses on classical approaches to indeterminate structures, approximate methods, and matrix structural analysis. This course has bee augmented with online modules stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic which have become very popular as study tools for face to face classes.
